Tutorial 8...

During tutorial Jenni went around the class to find out where everyone was at in regards to Task 2. Jenni then asked a couple of students to demonstrate how to use screenr, (a screencasting tool), and I was surprised at how similar it is to Screencast-O-Matic, (the screencasting tool that I have chosen to use).

Jenni then proceeded to demonstrate how to use EndNote, which again is really similar to Zotero. Jenni also clarified what was needed to be included in the screencast and showed a video of an example that she had created using screenr as her screencasting tool and EndNote as her referencing tool. She also confirmed that it was OK to go over 5 minutes...I was relieved at hearing this because my screencast did happen to run over 5 minutes and each time I tried to shorten it I still ended up going over the 5 minutes.

During the rest of the tutorial we were able to continue working on Task 2 and ask Jenni for help if needed. I used the time to catch up with some blog posts and communicate with my peers at where I was in regards to Task 2. I am glad to see that I am on track after spending most of my weekend researching and working on my screencast.
